"Eye Toy" - an eyeful of laughter

Ever seen your family, friends, or walked past someone's house and saw people through their window doing weird running motions, waving their arms and legs about like a crazed drunk? That's the effects of the Playstation 2's "eye toy". If you don't know what it is, or haven't seen one in action, have a look at www.eyetoy.com...better yet, come over to my place and have a go :D - give me ample warning, so I may set up a hidden camera to film your moves to be youtubed!

Christmas 2006, was stormy and absolutely freezing, so our annual gathering involved us productively spending our time indoors, with the Nintendo Wii and the eye toy, "Play 3". This game allows up to 4 players to compete on numerous games. In our case, it was a matter of however many people you can fit on the tv screen, to help break the world record that some poor person has earned by themselves! Basically you stand within your part of the camera and do as the game tells you - run, jump, swim, fishing even! The fun is not in the game itself, but seeing your friends doing the most stupid things, waving their arms in the air, breaking chandeliers as they jump (yes you know who you are!) ! It's definitely a game of "let's see how fit you are"!

Speaking of fitness, the Wii has been great too, except for the fact that every darn thing related to the Wii is SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE.. unless of course you want to pay a jacked up price on ebay! All I want is ONE.. just ONE nunchuku so I can try and beat the crap out of friends in the Wii Sports boxing matches .. but nothing available till at least Feb! :(

All in all, I have not yet had any regrets with these purchases, except of course Red Steel. Reviews said it was crap, everyone said it was crap, yet my curiousity sent my fingers wandering into my purse and traded my 'could have been better spent elsewhere money' for it!

Oh well.. it's off to ebay... ;)
