T-qualizer shirt
I came across these shirts whilst innocently "window" shopping on the Internet one day. My curiosity got the better of me so I decided to order myself one. Having seen some of the videos of these on youtube before my purchase, I have to say I was even more impressed with the actual physical product. Actual real life demonstration proved I wasn't the only one.
The T-qualizer shirt gets its name from the fact that it has a whacking great graphics equalizer across the chest. But it's not some ironed-on picture of a classic LED equalizer. No, this particular equaliser is of the electro luminescent variety, and it actually reacts to the music it 'hears'. How? Well a clever little mini battery pack is hidden in a pocket just inside the hem. This powers the gleaming LEDs on the equaliser. Clever, eh!
Not too long ago I wore this to a local carols by candlelight and basically got the attention of everyone there who happens to look my way when I had the shirt "turned on". I even had some stranger poke me in the chest because he couldn't believe it was real. This shirt definitely renders every other 'look at me' T-shirt utterly obsolete. I also think the T-qualiser is the ultimate in clubwear. This eye-catching shirt is guaranteed to mesmerise fellow clubbers and pubbers as it illuminates and moves in time to the music.
Now I just can't wait until Philips Research fully develops and release their Lumalive technology to the general public. I'll definitely be one of the first in line to add this to my wardrobe along with the T-qualizer as well. Just to give you a run day on what the Lumalive technology is I will quote from Philips Research; It's a new sort of fabric that feature flexible arrays of colored light-emitting diodes (LEDs), without compromising the softness or flexibility of the cloth. these light-emitting textiles make it possible to create materials that can carry dynamic messages, graphics or multi-colored surfaces. Fabrics like drapes, cushions or sofa coverings become active when they illuminate in order to enhance the observer’s mood & positively influence his/her behavior".
I've included videos of these two shirts so be sure to check them out. The top video is of the T-qualizer shirt whilst the one below it is the Lumalive technology that Philips Research is still working on.
Ok, I must add that I was there when this thing was turned on. I thought I was seeing things when HD opened the door! It sounded good to own... but being female.. and after seeing a couple of kids who were sooo awed by it, groping HD's chest, I changed my mind!
