My Powerful Honda Civic

Since we are on the row here with car reviews I'll add my 2 cents to this category by commenting on my exciting 4 speed auto Honda civic, which has a whopping 86kw on tap acquired in August 2005 sparkly new from the dealer!

The 2005 Civic came in sedan or hatch form with the Hatch using the VTEC engine. This model is the last of the 7th generation civic with Honda introducing the 8th generation range last year (in sedan form only unfortunately).

Anyway, how does the car drive you may ask? Just like a Camry, slow, boring and un-agile. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. In terms of handling it goes ok but this car does not take sharp corner turns well. I was left in dust during a drive in Daylesford with friends (although hardly fair comparison on my part as he was driving his WRX) but you get the picture, the Civic is no performance vehicle. It therefore amuses me greatly when I see posers on the road with their done up Civics (oh and don't even mentioned those Hyundai Excels!!! FUGLY!!!). You know the typical big exhaust, body kit, spoiler and monster wheels. Just plain sad!

Putting the performance aspect aside, this car is extremely reliable and fuel efficient. Unlike my unfortunate friend's ex Ford XR6 Turbo I have never had a single problem with the car or whatsoever. So if you are the person that just wants to travel from A to B, this car might be right for you. No doubt I have wished I had bought a more powerful car at times but overall I am satisfied with this vehicle...I think.

Honda makes some good solid reliable cars.
The Civic is practical and roomy and I am sure a nice place to be on those long drives. :)

Rice Boi ftw :P

Yeah they do make very reliable cars. Forgot to mention, the seats are very uncomfortable for long drives!
